2024-25 Harley V. Cutlip Recipients

High school winners Preston Kelly and Kayden Duncan, and college winners Brittany Cowart and Bailey Wolcott.

Volusia County Farm Bureau is pleased to announce the 2024-25 winners of the Harley V. Cutlip Memorial Scholarship.

Scholarships are awarded to Volusia County graduating seniors and students already in college whose families have had a minimum one-year membership in the Volusia County Farm Bureau. Prior scholarship recipients and graduating home schoolers may also apply for these monies. Winners are selected based on scholastic achievement, leadership involvement in school and community, a written essay, and letters of recommendation.

“The Volusia Farm Bureau Board of Directors decided to offer four scholarships of $2,500 each for the 2024-25 academic year.  This is a $10,000 total investment in higher education.  This year the board choose to offer two scholarships to graduating high school seniors and two to currently enrolled college students,” said Steve Crump, Volusia County Farm Bureau executive director.

The winners are – Preston Kelly and Kayden Duncan, both graduates of Taylor High School in Pierson and college students Brittany Cowart and Bailey Wolcott. Brittany is a returning student to Daytona State College. Preston, Kayden and Bailey will be attending University of Florida.

“We congratulate all our recipients and wish them success in the upcoming year. The Volusia Farm Bureau board of directors is proud to support our member families and the community by offering college scholarships to outstanding local students,” said Mr. Crump.

Harley V. Cutlip gave 19 years of loyal service as the Volusia County Farm Bureau’s executive director. In his memory and in support of agriculture education Farm Bureau has given these annual scholarships since 1979.
