It’s time to apply for the 2024-25 Harley V. Cutlip Memorial College Scholarship.
Harley V. Cutlip gave 19 years of loyal service as the Volusia County Farm Bureau’s executive director. In his memory, and in the spirit of giving, the Farm Bureau continues his legacy with their annual Harley V. Cutlip Memorial Scholarships.
Applicants can get up to $2,500 toward their education. Two scholarships will be given to graduating high school seniors and two to current college students.
To qualify students must be graduating Volusia public school, home school seniors, or in college with a minimum one-year family membership in the Volusia County Farm Bureau. Prior scholarship recipients may also apply. College and high school students will be judged separately.
Applicants must attend an accredited college or university as a full-time student. Scholarship money will be pro-rated on a semester basis and will be paid directly to the college or university with credit given to the scholarship recipient.
Only those applicants that score at least 90 percent on the judge’s scorecard – 40 percent for scholastic achievement, 40 percent for leadership involvement in school and community, 10 percent for essay, and 10 percent for letters of recommendation – will be considered.
