Harley V. Cutlip gave 19 years of loyal service as the Volusia County Farm Bureau’s executive director. In his memory, and in the spirit of giving, the Farm Bureau continues his legacy with their annual Harley V. Cutlip Memorial Scholarships.
Up to three $1,500 scholarships for the 2019-2020 school year will be awarded to Volusia County graduating seniors and students already in college whose families have had a minimum one-year membership in the Volusia County Farm Bureau. Prior scholarship recipients and graduating home schoolers may also apply. College and high school students will be judged separately.
Applicants must attend an accredited college or university as a full-time student. Scholarship money will be pro-rated on a semester basis and will be paid directly to the college or university with credit given to the scholarship recipient.
Only those applications that score at least 90 percent on the judge’s scorecard – 40 percent for scholastic achievement, 40 percent for leadership involvement in school and community, 10 percent for essay, and 10 percent for letters of recommendation – will be considered for a Harley V. Cutlip Farm Bureau scholarship. To apply, please print the general information form or visit the office to get one, fill it in and return it with the following:
