Nominate a Hero for Agriculture Hall of Fame

TAMPA, Fla. – The Florida Agricultural Hall of Fame, which honors producers, commodity leaders, educators, scientists, and others who have made significant contributions to the production of food in the Sunshine State, is accepting nominations for its class of 2023 inductees.
The online nomination form is available on the Florida Ag Hall of Fame website. Visit floridaaghalloffame.org and click on the “Nominate” tab. Nominations and supporting materials must be submitted electronically no later than Sept. 1.

“The Hall of Fame celebrates the rich history of Florida agriculture, connecting the present-day community with the giants on whose shoulders we all stand,” said Ray Hodge, president of the Florida Agricultural Hall of Fame Foundation. “We invite the agriculture community and others to nominate those who have demonstrated selfless dedication to advocacy and advances in agricultural production, innovation, and education.”
Inductees are honored at a February banquet during the Florida State Fair in Tampa. This year, approximately 600 people attended the dinner and ceremony.

“A nomination recognizes a lifetime of contributions to Florida agriculture, and that is an honor in itself,” said 2022 Inductee Reggie Brown, who also served as the Florida Agricultural Hall of Fame Foundation president for 14 years. “It’s a gift of gratitude to the nominee, and it helps the entire industry by telling the story of people who exemplify service, commitment and achievement.”
