Gainesville, Fla. – Florida Farm Bureau Federation is seeking young agriculturists between the ages of 18 and 35 to apply for its 2021-2023 Young Farmers & Ranchers Leadership Group. The group consists of young men and women who are interested in representing production agriculture and the farm families who make it successful.
The Young Farmers & Ranchers Leadership Group allows members to develop and refine their leadership abilities by focusing on personal growth, public speaking, media training, legislative awareness, issue advocacy, business management and service leadership.
“We are excited to begin this ninth class of the YF&R Leadership Program,” said Leadership Programs Coordinator Michele Curts. “We have taken this extra time during the pandemic to revamp and refresh the program curriculum. We are very excited to work with each member to help them gain the confidence and experience to become successful advocates for agriculture and the future leaders of Florida Farm Bureau.”
Farmers and ranchers interested in serving on the Leadership Group must be a member of a local county Farm Bureau for at least one year. Applications can be submitted online through Friday, July 16 at https://bit.ly/2Tcg0Ej.
