The Volusia County Farm Bureau holds many events for members throughout the year. These events are just a fun way to get together and make new friends with other Farm Bureau member families.
The 2026 Annual Dinner will be held in October inside the Daugharty Building at the Volusia County Fairgrounds. The dinner is for Farm Bureau members only and their family members who reside in their home. The dinner is free and is one of the many benefits of being a Farm Bureau member.
If you’re not a member and would like to attend the dinner, please join by calling Amanda at 386-734-1612 or click the “Join Farm Bureau” link at the bottom of the page. This annual event is a delicious, free banquet with entertainment and door prizes for MEMBERS ONLY. Already a member? Call to RSVP for the dinner or email Amanda.tyler@ffbf.org. Include your member number and number of people attending in the email.
The Volusia County Farm Bureau Youth Speech Contest gives money to teens ages 11 to 18 just for delivering a five minute speech. The contest will be held in April. The 2026 Youth Speech Contest topic is: “What are some of the proactive, collaborative steps that farmers, ranchers, local communities and organizations like Farm Bureau can take to help guard against invasive species threatening Florida agriculture?”
The top three winners receive cash prizes of $300, $250 and $200, respectively. Winners at the county level will move into the district competition and be eligible to win more cash prizes. District winners then move on to the state competition in October. State competition grand prize is $500.
Please see the Youth Speech Contest tab on the homepage for complete information.
Volusia County Farm Tour – A self-guided tour of selected farms happens each year around Thanksgiving. The tour dates and locations are announced by Volusia County Farm Bureau’s partners at the UF/IFAS Extension office. The tour is free and open to the public.
