The 2023 Young Farmers & Ranchers Leadership Conference #GrowForward is happening July 7-9 at the Orlando World Center Marriot. This next generation of agriculture leaders will enjoy a weekend filled with with competitive events, farm tours, networking opportunities, professional development and fun.
Competitive events during the conference include the Achievement in Agriculture, Excellence in Agriculture and Discussion Meet. These events will help attendees learn and grow in their business and personal goals.
There are also scholarship opportunities available and applications are being accepted right now.
Florida Farm Bureau members can apply for a $250 scholarship to attend the State YF&R Leadership Conference. The scholarship is available to any member ages 18-35. First time conference attendees will be given priority. Each Field District will get up to two scholarships awarded.
Application deadline is 5 p.m. on June 9. Farm Bureau employees are not eligible.
Applications are also being accepted, until 5 p.m. on June 9, for the Activity Awards. The YF&R Activity Award is given to counties who have an active Young Farmers & Ranchers Committee who go above and beyond to promote leadership and education programs and build a more effective Farm Bureau in their county.
Women’s Committees are also eligible to apply for the Activity Awards. A separate application for the Women’s Committee will need to be submitted and each committee can win an award.
